As cebec, Matt Carpenter has been improvising electronic music since 1999. In 2005, he began performing and recording almost entirely with a Serge Modular synthesizer. Inspired by early pioneers of minimalism and drone as well as cybernetic systems, he strives for the same power and efficiency in his music using an improvisatory approach with the most basic elements of sound as ingredients.
